Personal Statement:

I have over ten years experience as a professional guide in the central Idaho Rockies using many different optics in every conceivable type of situation. Although I no longer pursue this as a full time career, I still make it out West every fall for a month or so. 

There is nothing like staring through a binocular six hours a day for weeks on end to sort out what works and what doesn’t. I’ve also had great opportunities to compare many different models side-by-side under tough field conditions. In the clear air of the mountains, I’ve used spotting scopes to glass animals at distances up to ten miles.

In my free time you’ll find me hiking, camping or out with my dogs. Most of my vacations revolve around spending time somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.
