Interest for Optics:   Birding, Wildlife Photography

Personal Statement:

I have spent countless hours exploring various haunts of Wisconsin in pursuit of birds and photographing them.  With a background in film, I started digiscoping birds in January 2002 and am having more fun than a sane person ought to be allowed.  A few of my photographs have been published in local calendars and birding periodicals.  Some days I like to leave the photography gear at home as it's nice just to observe birds without being bogged down by all the equipment.

When I'm not birding I enjoy reading books about my favorite subject, natural history.  I also enjoy bike riding, amateur astronomy and playing the guitar.
